A mischievous bear named
"Oreo" has been captured in Monrovia, California, after causing
problems for a family. The bear, known as "Oreo," was seen leaving a
house with a pack of Oreo cookies. The Glaser family found the bear breaking
into someone's home through a sliding glass door, destroying everything it
could find, including a pack of brownie mix and shrimp cocktail. The family
eventually got the bear out, but it returned on several occasions to try to
break in for more food. The Department of Fish and Wildlife had captured the
bear using a bear trap, containing donuts, chocolate syrup, fruit rollups, and
other sweets. ABC7 was told they would be testing the hair of the bear for DNA
to determine if it really was Oreo.
